Globalism and Digitality Times
Our art is not independent from our times. And our times are of Globalism and Digitality.
Neither art techniques nor the art issues are at all independent from this fact, so the use
of computers(2)
to reproduce the general ARTWORK scheme or to help determine the energy level
of the palette chromatism are tools either to bring up the content input on the final piece or
its digital results art pieces by itself!!. And yet, in this period of dulcet tones for oxymorons and "Golden
Age" everything philosophers we do not have to deny the basics of art history as Information
providers as well the mastery of the hand-skill of drawing, and in general the wise use of
different traditional tools and materials as of paramount importance.
Also, the theories of color as well as the basics of philosophy will continue rounding the
future of art making. All of this means a complete formal training to be ready for our role as
hyperfollowers or metainnovators in a world, which in the next century, will widen the
frontiers among first and third world countries, and consequently will continue hegemonizing the
culture of visuality by developed nations.
Because the so called left and right political wings will survive in the fight for power in
underdeveloped nations and will tend to be undermined in first world countries,
(a new political shift to a more compassionate extremisms?),(to make room to "Stewards and
Extropians")(3),
political issues will be the focus, from very different perspectives, on
dependence from which part of the world is the new art to see. But anyway, ideology will
survive either to criticize the resurgence of any new aesthetics or for the sake of any
everything philosophy*, as an essential element in the Making of Art. Do we remember social realism, a product of the 'cold war', a sort of painting of nationalism, programs and politics?. On other hand, is there any room for a new complex non-kitschy public art related to our social misery?...If the realities of any kind of human oppression over other humans persist...the answer is: Sure!, and that, in times when the social revolution seems not to be a poetry anymore...
Complexity consciousness, as well new other sources of knowledge(?!...), will help provide to
all artists with a HYPER and METAMULTIFACETED vision of reality a basis on which rebuild our
old and new Myths and Dreams, Hopes and Illusions, in an irreversible turning point, in our
search for new categories of Beauty, building a kind of new ritual for the global tribe...
the"Unified Field" for Consciousness!.
AND THE PROCESS OF MAKING ART WILL (NEVER EVER) BE THE SAME ...!
*Ideology:
A) As a universal critical element.
B) As a degenerated philosophy: represented as a particular social or political issue.
